Para-Ord pistol build

I was given a para "smitty" kit last Christmas and I am in the middle of the build. The frame is almost complete with a lot of high dollar parts. I was comparing the smitty frame to one of my Para P-14 frame. The P-14 has been factory cut for a ramped barrel and the smitty frame hasn't been. Does anyone know how much trouble I am going to have trying to use a standard Colt barrel on this pistol? I am planning to use a Caspian XR slide with an external extractor.[?][?][?]

  A standard barrel will work fine as long as it has been fit properly to the frame and slide.

  None whatsoever. Your frame is made to fitted with a standard barrel. If you want to use a ramped barrel you'll need to mill the frame to accept the ramped portion of the barrel.
