loose bolt?

Just bought that mini 14, WOW what a fun rifle. My question is after i broke down and cleaned the rifle the bolt is loose ( wobbles side to side almost), is this normal, i cant remember what it was like before i cleaned the rifle. The bolt cycles back no problem and locks, everything seems to be functioning fine. It seems to me that this is how the bolt is supposed to function, just wanted to check. Thanks all

  First, have you checked the manual to make sure all parts are in and installed correctly?
  
  Does it wiggle with a case in the chamber? Mini-14's are made a tad 'loose' to allow for function. Usually, the forward spring pressure keeps them firm but they will move a smidge. Try it with a spent case in the chamber. Or if out on the range, try it with the rifle safely pointed downrange with a live case. It shouldn't move then.

  Yes all parts are installed correctly, and thanks for the help, when a round is in the chamber the bolt does lock ( doesnt wiggle. Thanks for the input

  most all bolts, semi and bolt action, will have some movement when not "in battery"
