Magazine modification

How difficult would it be to modify a Ruger 20 round factory clip to make it a 10 round clip? Shorten it so it would be only 10 rounds.

  If you want to make it cali legal? The problem would be that it has to be a permanent mod that can't be reversed. Some kind of spacer underneath the floorplate isn't gone to cut it, unless you can tack weld it in place permanently. Even then it will probably have to be approved by the cali DOJ.

  You are correct, I would have to mod it so there was no way to get more than 10 rounds in it...
