M1 Garand barrel origin

I have a M1 garand S# 669,6XX. I rebarreled the rifle about 2 weeks ago and I can't figure out where the old barrel is from. The barrel has a symbol (looks like a sun with rays curving clockwise), then reads 2774 61 7 m. Any idea where this came from? Thanks.

    Thanks for the quick photo response. Please submit photos whereby we can see the markings. Yours are too small. Submit the next size larger. And before you submit your new photos, hit the "preview" button, and you will be able to see for yourself if the markings on the barrel are readable, and thusly worthy of posting. If not, no sense in hitting the "post new reply" button. Thanks for trying. Good Luck!

    Ps..on the photos you have already submitted, you can edit the post by clicking the little "pencil" symbol on top and submitting the new photos. Just don't forget to click on "preview" before you post the new ones. Remember: if you can't see the markings clearly, neither can we.

    Good news, and bad news.
    Good news..I clicked on the link (below) then on your new photo and the markings came up nice 'n clear.
    Bad news..I'm drawing a blank on the barrel origin. I've seen before, but..(I'll edit if I can recall manufacturer). Best again, Joe

    The barrel was produced by the West German firm of JP Sauer and Son in 1961.
