Value of Daly Miroku Diamond Grade O/U

A local retailer here has this gun I am interested in. It is a skeet model 12ga. with 26" barrels sold new in 1973 and made prior. It has the selective ejection system. Blue/silver & engraving is 99%. The butt stock has a couple of light scratches in its shiny finish on one side. Checkering is fine and 99% The wood grade in my opinion is less than what would be expected...it's good but not fancy! The gun comes in a Miroku case in fair condition. It's possible this gun has not been fired. The asking is $1499...I think about $300 high??? I am interested in any opinions on its possible worth. Thanks!!!

    It is well worth it. I frequently attend gun auctions. A used Miroku skeet always goes for at least 1000 without a case. You might offer him less but for the money it is a better gun than any current model in that price range. They handle far better than a Citori it's most close competition

    I'm with golferboy, I've seen worse condition go for that much. The Diamond grades also had a few uncatalogued variations in the Trap and Skeet guns that bring a premium.

    Thanks for the input...I offered $1200 and they took it! I showed them a recent Gun Broker auction on a Diamond Grade Trap that went for $1275...my homework paid-off! THANKS!!!
