Browning A-Bolt

At risk of asking an ignorant question here! My father-in-law recently passed away and left to me a left handed Browning A-Bolt .270. Can a right handed shooter safely use this gun?

    Just picked up a browning chambered in 7mm-300weatherby
    bolt action, synthetic stock, really nice muzzel brake, not the boss, leupold rings and mount.

    any idea as to what its worth?

    Its really hard to soar with the Eagles, when you are stuck with turkeys!

    Hi Donna,

    For the most part, yes...most A-Bolts are MOA or better out of the box. Out of the 4 that I own, only the 300 Ultra Mag is on the border line, but that was with factory Remington loads using the Nosler Partition loads. With some good hand loads, it is nudging the 1/2 MOA mark. The other 3 I have are 30-06, and 300 Win Mag first generation, and a 260 Remington A-Bolt II as is the 300 Ultra. They are all SS Stalker models. If you choose one with the BOSS system, it gets even better, but none of mine have that. If you have any more questions, feel free to e-mail me. I have had no experience with the Mountain Ti...other than handling one and drooling on it.

    Another rifle that is extremely accurate out of the box is the Tikka T-3. I sold a lot of them, and every one has been sub MOA out of the box, and many approach 1/2 MOA...with factory loads.

    I would agree with tsr. A-bolts are usually good shooters. They glass bed portions of the action, and free float the barrels.

    Mine was a .223 Remington, and it would shoot half an inch with factory ammo right out of the box.
