Ruger Mk 1 22 pistol, date of manufacture?

It has serial number 14466, can anyone tell me when it was made?

  That's a very low serial number, in fact your gun isn't a Mark I, it is a Standard and that number dates it to 1951, second year of production. Should have red emblems I think since it was probably made before Alexander Sturm's death in November, 1951 at which time Bill Ruger changed the emblem from Red to Black.
  
  In 1969 Ruger began using hyphenated serial numbers, i.e. XX-CCCCC and if your serial number actually has two numbers in front of it it dates to later and the full number is needed to determine DOM.
