m1889 Belgian Carbine bayonet mounting ??

..Can someone clue me about my carbine's front band that has 2 bayo lugs > > one at the usual 6 o'clock & the other at about 1:30 looking from the rear.......help??

  Seeing that you have a lot of questions regarding Mausers. Your best bet would be to pick up a copy of Ball's book "Mauser Military Rifles of the World". It's up to it's 4th edition now, and it a excellent reference.
