here are the pics of a stainless reciever with blued fore end latch. i think cartod is right and they were mismatched during the changeover as mine and kipstr's guns are only about 500 apart.

It doesnt look bad with the trigger guard to match. 0 -
My Red Label # 410-105XX is exactly the same. It has the stainless receiver and rear part of handguard. Everything else blued, fore-end latch, barrels, trigger guard, safety and release lever.
My gun is an early model with fixed chokes and was owned by Col. Charlie Beckwith of Special Forces fame. I bought it from his family.0
