Arg. 1891 rifle with 88 commission sight ???
..Help,,,, is there any good buddy out there that can I.D. what country used a 'modelo argentino' long rifle made by loewe-berlin that has a scrubbed receiver & a narrow based 1888 commission-styled rear sight?? .....thanx....

The "scrubbed receiver" 91's were early U.S. imports, ( circa 1950's ). This was before Argentina changed their laws prohibiting the export of firearms that were marked with their national coat of arms or crest. It seems that all firearms exported from Argentina during this mid 50's time frame had the crest ground off. Years back I owned a Argentine Model 1901 Mannlicher pistol, that also had the Argentine crest removed. 0
