Arisaka Rifle with "132" etched on the bolt

    The number at the base of the bolt handle should match the last 3 digits of the serial number on the left side of the receiver. As should all numbered parts.
    Japanese Arisaka's are commonly found w/mismatched parts. And if the parts match or not, is a large factor in possible collector interest & value.
    If the receiver has 2 gas vent holes on top, it is a Type 38 in 6.5 Jap. If it has one vent hole, it is a Type 99 in 7.7 Jap.
    There are several variations of both types of rifle. But w/o pics or more detailed info on markings and configuration, it is impossible to give more info. However, w/such info, I can likely tell you much. Depending on which type, possibly including place of MFG (Arsenal/city) and approx date range within a year or two.
