700 Remington bases

I have a 700 with aset of bases I have no idea as to the brand. They are a two piece and one side looks like a weaver the other side is flat with a indent or dovetail that looks like the rear adjustment screw on a redfield base. does anyone haveany idea what brand base this is? Here are better pictures.

    They look like two different types of bases that someone tried to mix and match bases and rings. The one looks like a Conetrol, and the other looks like a Talley or similar style.

    I would loose them, and get a matching pair of Burris Dual Dovetail Signature series bases and rings...and then you are done with it.

    I'm in agreement with tsr1965, just get a good set of Leupold, Weaver or Picatinny bases and have it the way you want it instead of working with this that is going to be tough to match up.

    They are actually a matched set. One picture is the front and one is the rear. The pictures are just better this way. I mostly wondered if anyone had any idea what brand they are. The rifle is a very early 700 unless I am mistaken. I changed the pictures, so lets try again.

    Your second pictures helped a lot. You can see that in them. The bases certainly aren't standard. I've seen older bases like those but can't name them. Parker-Hale's bases look something like that except both sides are tapered. Old Redfield, Lyman and Fecker bases could be posibilities. The way they are made seems to indicate they are for a quick removal of the scope. Anyhow, If you want to keep them you are going to spend some serious time looking for the right rings for them. That would be pretty cool if you could. However, I'll stand by mine and tsr's opinion that if you want to shoot this rifle this year a standard set of Leupold or Weaver bases is the way to go. And you can both of them in QR rings.
