Coonan 1911 best parts location?
Hello from the sunny south! [8D]
I make no excuses about the .357 magnum being my preferred round for just about anything...and I use up a poop-load of .38 Spl. for practice too. Now I went and bought a Coonan 1911 and I'm failing miserably at finding a web site of parts/grips/sights etc for the Coonan. Like, even my most basic question, I wonder if there is a curved mainspring housing
for the grip?? My prowess with a 1911 can best be stated that I can actually HIT the barn but I have to be standing inside it. At lease the rounded housing is more to my liking and natural hold desired.
Any leads?
Thanks ahead of time!

Ever consider running 9x23? You'll get true .357 magnum ballistics from a round designed to be fired from 1911-like pistols.
Anyway, supposedly some of the parts will interchange with a standard 1911. I have no idea if its true of the mainspring housing, but if so, that's probably your best bet.
Alternatively, you might try asking here. Good luck:

EDIT:
I wouldn't expect a response, but you could also try ASKING here:

Coonan has a website and good news they are bringing back the Coonan .357 auto back (Sometime before Christmas). Email them and see if they have any parts yet. Also try some Fiocchi .357 142 fmj loads in your pistol. Then let me know how safe is your barn now? 0
