Remove magazine, make sure the chamber is empty. There is a line on the right side of the slide, line that line up with the front edge of the frame. Once aligned the barrel will turn ( If I remember right, slightly more than 90 degrees). Keep your hands on everything and slowly let the slide come forward until it removes. The barrel and recoil spring ect will lift out once apart. Reverse to reassemble. Hope that helps.

Thanks guys. After 60+ years in a case it was a bit "dry" and hard to get apart, even with the instructions, but successful. Springs look OK, no rust anywhere, a little Clenzoil and everything seems ready to try some low power .32's.

    Again, I appreciate the information.

If you would like me to mail you a copy of the original instruction sheet, send me an email.

I have one of those. It is the most fun gun I have to shoot with. My daughter, who had never even held a gun before, hit an absolutely dead center 10 ring shot from about 20' with her very first shot. Have fun with it.[:)]

There is a great video on YouTube that shows how to break down the 1903.
