mossberg 385kb help
the shotgun patterns low, center of pattern at least a foot low at 30yds. this happens with all sizes of shot, including buckshot and slugs. is this something a gunsmith can correct? i bought a pad for the comb and this helped some but would prefer a "better" fix

A good shotgun gunsmith who knows what he doing could bend the barrel so that the pattern coincided with the line of sight.
Seeing you have a inexpensive bolt action, it wouldn't be hardly worth it. He would probably charge you more then the shotguns worth, to fix it.0 -
thanks rufe. i figure as much. i just kind of like the thing and its different from what anyone else has at the camp. it has a c-lect choke on it, does that thing totally unscrew from the barrel? it may be the culprit. 0 -
Yes. C-lects unscrew. Would check the inside of choke for fouling/damage. All else fails, check w/ Vic Havlin at www.havlinsales.com. Vic runs the Mossberg Collectors Assoc, and is the go-to guy on anything Mossberg. 0
