Personally, I feel most folks have a hard time posting pictures becasue of the gunbroker instructions:

they leave photobucket off the list, which is the easiest to use in my opinion.

You upload a photo to photobucket, and then to post a photo here, you copy the last tag line in the list under the photo (in photobucket), and paste it in the message body. That's it.

I agree, the "sticky" above could probably be a little better.

    This is what you do:

    1. Take the digital picture.

    2. Upload the picture to an internet image hosting site from your computer. There are many sites that could work. Photobucket is a popular free one, and other possible sites are listed in the sticky linked to above.

To use any of these sites, you will have to create a free account and log in.

To actually upload the image, you have to follow the directions at that hosting site, but basically you just browse to the image you like on your computer (or camera), hit "upload" and wait a minute while it uploads and automatically creates a URL (web) address for the picture.

    3. One the image has been uploaded to the hosting site, you just have to link to the image in the gunbroker post you are making.

To do that you copy the image URL, then enclose it in your post with bracketed "img" tags like this :

    [ img ]http://your.particular.image.link.here[ /img ]

Of course you leave out the extra spaces in the brackets. (I just added those for demonstration purposes).

Here is a more concrete example. If you type THIS (without the extra spaces). . . .

    [ img ]http://www.neaca.com/images/Hi_Standard_23116xx_M107_1_.JPG[ /img ]

The post automatically generates this image:

    Hi_Standard_23116xx_M107_1_.JPG
