Ruger Red Lable forend latch is blued

Here's my question, I just got this older Red Lable serial number 410-099xx 26" chambered 2 3/4" the forend latch and the part around the latch is blued not stainless. The gun is like new I don't think it has been tampered with. Is that the way it came from Ruger. So if anyone has one like this one let me know. Thanks

    mine has a stainless reciever and blued latch (had to go dig it out of the safe just to be sure), 410-105xx

    pretty sure it hasnt had any parts swapped on it.

    They must have mismatched them during the change over to stainless. cool! Post some photos. Mine are all blue or all stainless!

    Kip.... Thats got to be the way it came from the factory. Mine is the same, ser# 410-105XX. Mine has the stainless receiver and rear part of the fore-end, every thng else is blued.

    Shootuadeal..... Looks like you have a close relative to mine.

    I called Ruger and they confirmed some of the early gun had a blued latch. Thanks for the info
