Stevens Savage model 820B
I received this pump shotgun from my uncle several years ago, and was wanting to find out pretty much everything I can about it...
On the left side of the barrel, it has "Stevens Savage Arms Corporation Chicopee Falls, Mass USA" and on the right it has "Proof Tested - 12 guage - 2 3/4" chamber".
I've done alot of searching on the net, and the only thing I've found is that it's pre - 1969 due to no s/n. Is there a way to further isolate the year manufactured?
The safety doesn't work properly, so I'm also interested in a parts diagram and reliable parts supplier.
I'm very interested in learning how to use the choke... it appears to be original as the end of the barrel is tapered, split 6 times and threaded to receive the choke (which is fluted 9 times)... Are there standard settings for the type of shot used? I'd really hate to mess something up (if even possible) by let's say using a slug or 00 buck on the "full" choke position. The choke settings are... 1, IMP CYL (improved cylinder?), 3, MOD (modified?), 5, and Full. It's dove season, so any information here is greatly appreciated! [:D]

TRY GUNPARTSCORP.COM FOR PARTS, YOU CANN'T HURT THE CHOKE OR SHOTGUN BY SHOOTING SLUGS OR BUCKSHOOT ON ANY OF THE SETTINGS ALTHO THESE MIGHT SHOOT BETTER ON I.C. OR MOD. SAME WITH STEEL SHOOT, USE MOD. OR I.C., FOR DOVES I'D USE #1 OR I.C. 0 -
Thanks for the choke setting and parts info [8D]
Popped a couple dove the other day, and happened to break off the tip of my trigger in the process [B)][B)]
It's all good though... trigger was only $6.60 [:D]0
