Welcome to the forum. Good advice about nearly any firearm is available here.
The determining factor in establishing the value of your gun is it's originality in finish and configuration. Any modification such as adding a recoil pad, removing or adding iron sights, refinishing the wood and/or metal will reduce the value of the rifle. Posting several very clear photos of the rifle is the best way to get good value advice here. If that is not possible, please provide the amount of original finish remaining and describe any modifications.0 -

i,d say bert is right if in very good con. but without pic,s its hard to place a price on it. i was offered a pre-64 3006 for 800.00 in so called ex con. but when i went to see it,the so called ex con rifle was only a candidate for a action donor. the stock was cut and has several splits, and the barrel was a mess, even the rear sight was missing. i think the md. 70 in 308 is worth a little more. eastbank. 0 -

Welcome to the foram. Cartod and Bert hit the nail on the head. Good pics will help. The .308 FW came out mid '52 and in the correct condition can bring a good price. Al butt pad till maybe '59 when they went plastic. Proper sling swivels, checkering, sights and sight hood, no bedding or stock cutting. Any alteration takes away from the value.
