Silicone Sock for Rifles

Anyone use these? I don't really have a rust problem but as crowded as the safes are getting, I thought they might add a little protection from handling.

  I use untreated gunsocks from Brownell's, & they have eliminated the dings my rifles used to get in the safe.
  
  I never understood the need for silicone, so always avoided socks treated with it. The metal just needs a light coat of oil, & the wood doesn't need anything.

  I use silicone treated Borestores for most of my rifles. They keep the rust and dust off. I live in the desert so dust is the greater problem here.

  inhibit rust.
