Putting Remington 722 action into a BDL stock
Is it Possible to bed a Remington model 722 short action into a BDL short action stock? If it is what steps would be involved? Any instructional comments would be appreciated.

Short answer is yes, it is possible to put a 722 action in a 700 BDL stock. I have one but didn't do the work so don't know what all is involved. The only obvious modification is a small sliver of wood removed where the safety is to allow the safety to move. Mine was also rebarreled to 250 Savage. Great little rifle and sure looks better in the 700 BDL stock than in an original 722. 0 -

The M722 is basically the M700 but with stamped sheet metal for a trigger guard. The M700 uses a complete bottom metal/trigger guard/magazine box assembly in the 'BDL' version. These are available from Brownells, Midway and several aftermarket parts makers.
