YOU MUST COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLE THE SHOTGUN, THE BOLT IS ALMOST THE LAST PART TO COME OUT.

There is no way to remove the bolt from an A-5 without disassembling the gun and just as Mike pointed out, bolt removal is basically the final step. Before you attack with the screwdriver; remember those lock screws!

"remember those lock screws!"........ALSO THE THIN SCREW SLOTS. TAKES A SPECIAL GROUND SCREW DIVER OR TWO.

man, it seems like the bolt handle should pull out and the bot would just slide out like every other shotgun in the world...no wonder most brownings are filthy inside.[xx(]

Grace makes a very nice set of screwdrivers specifically for Browning screws and after messing up several of my Chapman driver tips bought the Grace set.

Scott, even if you physically sawed the bolt handle off the bolt itself you wold still not be able to remove it until you remove the carrier and then reach inside the receiver and moved the link bar out of position. These operations can only be accomplished by removing the various screws and then the trigger group. If there is any other way to remove the bolt, someone would have figured it out during the 100+ years the A5 has been around
