...No offense, but if you have to ask, you would be better off having a GOOD pistol smith do the trigger job.
The adjusting of the sear spring/honing hammer hooks & sear...NEED to be done by someone who knows what they are doing are you can easily screw up your 1911 and make it UNSAFE & UNRELIABLE.

There are ways to "help" lighten the pull w/o doing the above work, but they're not as effective and its possible to cause some light hammer strikes and you would need to know how to correct THAT problem if it arose...find a good pistol smith...[;)]

OR, you could call cylinder and slide and ask for a "light pull sear spring", part # CS094

IT does not take a rocket designer to do gun-smithing However a 1911 Has a number of parts on the fire control system that must all work together to have a SAFE trigger pull The angle of the sear nose the depth of the hammer hooks The three leaf spring and the main?hammer spring as well as the disconnector and grip and thumb safety.. if you put in a trigger with adjustable over-travel screw this also has to be adjusted correctly . As an example lets say the hammer hooks are .030 and you have a heavy trigger pull and you know that most match grade triggers have .018 hammer hooks so you cut back the hooks . Now without touching anything else you put the parts together . you test the trigger and it is better so you now test the thumb safety cock the hammer put safety on and pull trigger hammer stays back "GREAT" then with your finger off the trigger you take the safety off an [:I][xx(][:(!][V] the hammer falls and would have set off any round in the chamber if the pistol was loaded because the the safety let the sear move .o17 and the hammer is just staying on by .001 inch. Get a 1911 pistol smith to mentor you if possible.
