HK-4 .32/22

I have a black Heckler Koch HK-4, double action, exposed hammer, semi-auto pistol, which I bought through a catalog more than twenty years ago, before it had to be registered. This was a German police officer's gun, and came with two barrels, which convert it from .32 cal to .22 cal. The kits have matching numbers, and I have two .22 clips, and one .32 clip. I have the original boxes, user manual and the cleaning tool...a screwdriver with a cleaning chain inside the hollow handle.

Can someone give me a 'from what to what' idea of it's market value, please?

    Condition and functionally would have a great bearing on value. Best if you could post quality photos. The firing pin(s) on the HK 4's, were notoriously fragile if dry firing was attempted.

    Are their any German police markings on the pistol, or any areas where a mill cutter was used to remove markings?

    I don't know if this is germaine or not, but all the ex-german police pistols I have, had another number stamped. Kind of like an asset number.

    I can't honestly say for certain that this was a former German police officers gun...it's been a long time since I bought it. I THINK that was in the catalogue's description, along with the likelyhood that the policeman was a desk officer, who only fired it to keep qualified, and used the .22 barrel to save money on ammunition for practice...how's THAT for a story, eh?

    Can you suggest where I might find any extra numbers? It'd be easy enough to check.

    I found nothing extra other than factory marks on my slides, so I guess it wasn't a Polizei pistol after all, but thanks for the input all the same.
