E. schmidt and habermann

I have an e. schmidt and habermann that my grandfather brought back from WWII. It's a double barrel 16 guage with a 22 cal. I would like to find some info on the gun. I can't seem to find any on the internet. Thanks jlw1

  Need quality close-up photos to help you, with identification and valuation.
  
  From your description it might be what the Germans called a Drilling, or three barreled gun.
  
  Schmidt and Haberman might be either the gunsmiths who made the gun, or the retailer who sold it.

  Hello if this firearm has 3 barrels then it would be called a drilling 2 16Ga. shot barrels and one 22 barrel if it has 2 barrels one 16 Ga. and one 22 then it is a Cape gun and if it has 2 16 Ga. shot barrels and a 22 insert barrel then of course it is a double barrel. All of these guns were used for hunting in Germany and were rounded up after the war and many G.I.'s sent or brought them home. we need to see all the proof marks etc to see if suitable for modern shells.   We need to have clear, sharp photographs of the overall firearm as well as sharp details of the proofmarks and maker marks found on the water table and the underside of the chambers. There can be marks found under the forearm also. These marks can help date the firearm and provide a little bit of the history.
