Nosler Rifles
Looking for a little history and background on Nosler rifles. Seem high with a glass stock.

Nosler rifles have only been around for about 5 years or so, plus or minus a couple. They are of course based on a Mauser design, but have the best of all worlds from what I understand. They are a semi-custom/production gun, hence the higher than normal pricing.

Nosler decided since it owned the 'upper quality' market in bullets why not progress into rifles. It was a good time for it, a lot of other custom makers were building guns. Why not put their name to a quality rifle. So, they did. The first caliber was .300 WSM. If I remember correctly it is based off the Win 70 Post '96. Which is the same configuration of the pre '64. Basically, a Mauser with the 3 position safety on the bolt. I'm not sure if their varmint model or model 48 is CRPF instead of CRF or not. I read an article on this some time ago and I was very impressed with the rifle. So much so that I even started finding ways to save money to buy one. Eventually, I came up with a couple (many) builds of my own and some other stuff and I let the idea go of getting one.
Anyhow, the wood for the custom is all select grade and the stocks on the Varmint and 48 are hand laid kevlar. Very well made rifles, but pretty spendy as well. If I remember right their initial run didn't sell out, but they sold and made enough to continue with the 48 and Varmint projects. Plus adding a second caliber in the custom the .280 Ackley improved. All the information I have now is what you can read by going to the Nosler website. Maybe someone will come along with a link to that write-up.
