    ELG in an oval is Liege, Belguim Proof House Mark..This gun is not safe to shoot...

    Thank you Captain Kirk for information about Liege, Belgium. I also found in the 2009 Gun Digest a Bismarck 7 shot revolver with a Brass frame & 3 " barrel made in the 1870s. It stated gun values but they had no clue as to the location of orign. THANKS AGAIN

    It listed in "Flayderman Guide", as a unlicensed copy, by a unknown maker of a early S & W, No. 1, Third Issue revolver. No wonder the maker is unknown, it was a Belgian made copy.
