Springfield Armory scopes

has anyone here had any experience with Springfield Armory Scopes? Are they a quality piece of glass, or should i look elsewhere?

  they are ok. dont know who make them. had the 6X40 on the used m1-a i bought, friends had the variable power with the target knobs and they worked fine.
  for the $, you would be better served with bushnell elite, burris, and leupold

  If you get a good one they are good, if not they are not that great. The company from Japan that was making them for Springfield had a huge drop in quality toward the end. This is why SA quit selling them.
  
  I had a 6x40 and it was good scope but not what I wanted so I sold it. A buddy has one of the high power (dont remember but I think a 6-24) on his and seems to work quite well and be quality glass.
  
  Unless you have a good deal lined up on one I would go with tsavo's advice.
