Can anyone tell me anything about this pistol?

I bought it today for $415.00

serial number is 933171
It is about a 80% pistol I would say.

  Later model type. With serial # we can tell you when it was built.

  I have #921xxx (1959) and it came with full checkered stocks with a silver emblem.
  
  Your gun seems to have later stocks. Still very nice. $415 is a good price for a 1950's OMM.

  I have the same including the grips, the style is correct for the gun and I'd presume yours are original to the gun. Same as the type as found on the Python, same framed gun as it and the old model Trooper and the earlier "357". It's an excellent shooting gun and yours is the 1953 to 1969 version. Uses the same serial numbering as the old model Trooper, yours would be a 1964 manufacture.
  
  My experience is it shoots well with about anything, I use 148 HBWC. And $415.00 is definitely on the strong "I got a good deal" side.
