texasoldiron,
Hello, and welcome to the forums here on Gunbroker.
The Ruger P97 is like the tank of DA/SA 45 auto pistols. It is built extremely well, and most all of the reports say it eats everything you feed it, and is fairly accurate to boot. As for the resale value, well, are you buying new or used?...you might answer your own question. It all depends on condition, but you will not get Sig 220 prices out of it.

P-97 more or less equals the P-90 as far as function and reliability. The plastic/polymer part of the frame being the biggest differrence. I like both the P-90 and the P-97 with my preference being the KP-90DC model. If you want something you intend to keep and somthing that will go bang everytime you want it to, it's a good choice. From what I notice, resale prices of the P series pistols is getting better, but I live in a pretty small world. 0
