HELP! Old .22 - Can't Identify and Ammo won't fit
I just inherited this old .22 I can't find anything out about it and standard Remington and Federal Long Rifle ammo won't fit in it. Sort of strange...
Can anyone help me identify this gun and advise what ammo fits it?
Gun has stamped on it: Cal. 22 / Made in Spain by El Garro

Try a .22 pellet.

Oh duh! Why didn't I think of that. Man, how ridiculous am I today. Sheesh.
Thanks for the help!0 -
Its a barrel-cocking .22 AIR rifle, made by Gamo (not "Garro"), which is a noted Spanish manufacturer of same.
Kind of a cool-looking gun, though I doubt it has any collectors' value.
Should run fine with common .22 caliber lead "diablo" type pellets, available at any sporting goods store or Walmart.

It is an air rifle by Gamo. I have one just like it only in .177 and with a black stock. I guess that makes two of them on the planet!
