Were these made on a 16GA frame or on the 12GA frame?

  They were definetly made on a 16 ga. frame which makes for a very nice field gun to carry.

  They were definitely NOT made on a "16 guage "frame Even the 20 were on a large frame until about 1970 Sometimes older 16 and 20 guage 870 feel lively becuase they usually had a plain barrel.
