Not very. Crossing ebay w/ patents may be an issue, but you won't hear from their lawyers until you are done and taking some of their business away. Getting traffic going to your site can also be tricky, but thats a marketing thing. Lemme know if you need a coder :)

Starting a site? If you have the computer skills, and access to servers that will support it- piece of cake.

Getting the traffic to make it worthwhile? Sellers AND buyers? THAT is entirely a different matter. Have seen at least 4 startup sites start and evaporate in past couple of years. There are 3 true on-line auction sites for guns that I consider worthy of the name- this is one, and the third seems to be struggling.

A flat rate of a buck will be attractive ONLY if the seller gets the exposure to make the sale, and gets admin support as needed. One issue that I DO hear raised frequently is the deadbeat first time bidder- meaning Junior is playing on the computer, and being annoying. How ya gonna screen buyers and seller, and how will YOU get paid?

Of course it will be a sign up process like any other Web site. as far a payment that's not a problem to set up credit card card payments or all the other usual. I'm already a coder so thats not an Isuue. Of course like said, how do you stop the kids from playing with ya. There are some security feature and I actually have a great Idea on some web based code for that one. Start up bucks are not a problem. I really appreciate the input guys.
    Thanks a Ton!
