I live in PA, close to E.R. Shaw and they have done a few jobs for me. Their work is outstanding and reasonable for custom work.

Generally they are considered mid-range in price and quality. I used a Shaw barrel to change a .243 to .260. It is a moa shooter if I do my part.

While their barrels generally shoot OK (which is more a function of the fitting), the ones I've seen are rougher than 5 miles of bad road and copper foul badly.

You get what you pay for, and if all you want is something that goes "bang", than Shaw is probably good enough.

They did a similar job for me (except for the break) for a Mauser I'm building from scratch & chambered in 25.06. I still need to finish the stock & get a loan for a Leupold! If it shoots anything close to how it looks, I did just fine.

I had them barrel a .250 savage on a MK X action. It is one of my most accurate rifles.
