browning A-5 (clone) ???

A few years ago I bought a A-5 clone at a gun show (price was right). It is marked "DIAWA", AUTO 500, MANUFACTURED BY SINGER NIKKO LTD JAPAN". Now I've worked on A-5's (by browning, remington, and savage) so I know my way around these. I'm haveing a problem reassembling it, when the magazine tube nut is turned down to snug the forend to the front of the receiver it pushes the barrel assy back just far enought to trip the trigger disconnect (see pix below), back the nut off 5 or 6 'clicks' and it will fire (but the forend is loose). Note that some of the parts are NOT like those normaly found on the common A-5's but these all came out of this gun (I figured it could use a good cleaning and didn't think I'd have a problem reassembling it).

I could easly face of the plastic spacer to allow the barrel assy to seat forward farther but....

    Sure the wood forend isn't worn? (still has the spring loaded pin?)..I'm an old A5/Savage 720 shooter..and all there is between the spring and lug is the friction ring, friction piece and friction spring..(all there in the photo)...Never have seen the washer you show in the photo? Perhaps that's why the "good price"?

Perhaps that's why the "good price""........NOPE, THE GUN WORKED WELL FOR SEVERAL YEARS, THE FOREND IS RE-ENFORCED FRONT AND REAR AND DOSEN'T LOOK WORN AT ALL. THERE ARE SEVERAL 'IMPROVEMENTS' TO THE ORIGINAL A-5 DESIGN (BEAFED UP FOREND, THROUGH BOLT BUTT STOCK ATTACHMENT).
