S&W defender
i just got a call from a friend who reciently got a S&W (defender??) in 32 cal. sorry i dont have any pics and i couldnt find an auction on one which makes me curious. is the defender a model S&W makes? hes just looking for info on it and the only thing i could find so far is lazer grips from crimson trace. anyone know anything about em??

Caliber is .32 Smith & Wesson. That doesn't mean it is of Smith & Wesson manufacture. Defender is probably one of a dozen or more manufacturers of cheap revolvers that were around in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. 0 -
Harrington and Richardson made one back in the 30's & 40's. Most were in 38 S & W as far as I know? Maybe they made some in .32 also?

There were about 20 different makers that had a model marked "Defender". Most were .32 caliber but some were .22 rimfire. Some were top break, a la S&W style, some were solid frame. 0 -
he also said there was something different about the trigger. didnt look like a standard trigger. if that helps any. he did also say it was a fairly old/antique looking revolver. and he said it was a S&W revolver in 32 cal. not 32cal S&W revolver. so most likely it is cheap piece with little value? assuming it is in fireable condition will it handle modern loads? 0 -
OK. Time to avoid the middleman. Get your friend to take some digital pics, go over to his place, log on, and post them. Post what you observe on the firearm. Or, sit him at the desk, and post himself.
You may wish to start a new string, as this one has had an awful lot of response space used up already, to no avail. Best, Joe0
