Does anyone know when a Brwning Hi-Power, Serial # T288888 was made?

    If you head on over to Browning.com and go to customer service, they have a pretty good online set of serial numbers for most models as well as manuals you can download.

    Are there any numbers in front of the T [?] If there are they are the year built.
    High Power ended the "T" series in 1969 with T261000.

    High Power ended the "T" series in 1969 with T261000.So the site would make it appear, but the T Series continued a while longer. I have one of the round spur hammer T Series in the T289000 range.

    The ones past T261000 were probably built in 1969 also.

    The numbers go well over T261000.

    The top pistol is a slotted T-Series in the 320000 range.

    Thanks to everyone who responded. I questioned why it was beyond the posted range, as the pistol appears to be 100% correct and in new condition. I just offered in on GB.
