Would a smith & wesson model 17 k-22 .22 LR cylinder be interchangable with a model 17 smith & wesson?

  Before S&W put model numbers on them, the Model 17 was the K-22.
  The cylinder might work as is or need fitted by a gunsmith. Both guns are K-frames.
