    How are LPK's rated?
Especially DPMS versus Rock River Arms?
Is one better then the other?

RRA is better in my opinion, but not by much. The difference may just be personal feel, my rra always seemed to have a crisper pull, and align better.

In reality most basic kits are made by the same few places and packaged for each company.

Now if you start getting into upgraded parts find out who is making those parts for the company to see if they are better or not.

My thoughts exactly. The parts are in bins and the right number of each is pulled and dropped in a bag. In each case trigger quality is like drawing cards- some are Aces and some are Jokers.

I agree, the specs on surface finish usually is the only difference.

I've built a half dozen or so ARs, never noted any difference in the LPKs. I tend to add the DPMS ambi safety, a larger bolt release and an RRA 2 stage for all my builds.
