28 gauge shotshells
Does anyone know where I can get game load aka field load shot shells for my 28 gauge? Dick's Sporting goods here in NY only carries the Rem. brand Long Range Express loads at 15.99 a box.
I was hoping to use the game loads at about 6.99 but these were not on the shelf. I am not partial to any shell brand at this time, I am just trying to avoid paying the above price. Thanks for your reply.

28s have always been pricy even when .410s were cheap. You might give Walley World a try. I don't know what loads they carry but they do have them & the price isn't too much above what you noted.
I sold both my 28s long ago so I haven't really checked on them in a long time.0 -

Look for some Rio shells, or PMC. They shoot fine & are less expensive. Next best thing is to buy a reloader & load your own. Love shooting my 28 & 410's. Paid for the equipment in no time. 0 -
I reload 28 & .410 on Mec Jr. BUT empties are super expensive and hard to get. On top of that, 410's burn out at the crimp faster than larger guages SO it does save but be on the lookout for cases. PS it works best to buy new AA at Walmart for $10 and use that since most guys selling empty AA in 410/28 ask 15 - 20 for once fireds. 0 -
I use the RIO and Nobelsport brands and they are OK. Wholesale is 8.00-10.00 + shipping. Either the 3/4 oz or the heavier 1oz. are about the same price. I would prefer the 3/4 except for pheasants. 0
