AK scope recommendation
A buddy at work just bought an AK with the left side mount. slots on top, weaver type.. What kind of red dot should he buy? One that will hold center... 50 to 100 yrds. $150 max. preferably 100 bucks or less.. He's new to the AK rifle, so he just wants something to start with. I've got a BSA on my parts shelf, but I don't know if that's a real scope or a paint gun scope.

The last one linked below has 8 hours left is under $ 100.00.
Not Red-Dots, but the optics on these scopes are surprisingly good.

Do a Web search for Russian Scope and see what you come up with. I have one of these scopes and they are ok, fixed is the key word. I have herd that the varable Russia scopes are not good quality and I would like to hear some chatter on this subject.

thanks for the help guys. I just email'd my friend to get some more info from him..
I have an idea, but not sure about MOA's...For his AK, do I want a 2MOA or 4 MOA ? I can't remeber which is better, bigger or smaller lol..0 -
While I'm not a fan of red dots, my friend has one of these and he seems to like it. http://v4.beta.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=137795638 0 -
I have tried Red Dot scopes on several AK's. I was never satisfied and finally gave up on scoping AK's. A carbine of this type is at its best with iron sights. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.[:D] 0
