Rossi 62 versus Winchester 62 spec's
I recently bought a parts Rossi 62 22LR off a guy "who needed gas money". There are to many parts missing to rebuild, but I was wondering if any of the Rossi 62 parts are interchangeable with the Winchester 62??? How about the 1906?? Thanks.

Doubtful. 0 -
How many parts? What kind of shape is the rest of it in? 0 -
The rear section of the Rossi is complete and appears okay. The receiver portion though has missing parts, mostly small ones. The external is also pitted from rust. The barrel is octagon and is in fair condition. This again is a parts gun and was abused by the previous owner.. I am thinking about parting it out was the reason for asking if any of the parts would be interchangeable with the various Winchesters pump rifles. 0 -
The Rossi Model 62 (I have the carbine version) was touted as being a direct copy of the Win 62. My piece has close to 10K rounds through it and is still an excellent performer (has a bit of wear on the extractor claw and won't pull some thin rimmed cartridges). From what I've heard and read over the years - the Rossi and Winchester parts should be pretty much interchangable - with the proviso that ALL parts on this type of firearm will need a bit of hand fitting - as on the originals. 0 -
Thanks for the info. I just finished tearing this one down and cleaning it. The major problem is the receiver. It bulges out and the firing pin block won't cycle. The rest of the gun is in fair to better condition. Sooner or later I will just part it out. Thanks for responding. 0
