Remington 700 SA versus Model Seven
Can someone definitively explain the difference between these two actions? Is it significant? I have checked the Remington FAQ and it is not there. Any help appreciated.

Boomerang,
The differences are moderate and insignificant really.
The Model SeVen action is slightly shorter than the M700 SA which yields a shorter spacing between the action screws. This only has an impact on stock selections and bottom metal. The magazine lengths are the same and the triggers are the same.
If want to own a Model SeVen just as a rifle, buy it. If your looking for the flexibility of adding or switching parts, go with an M700.

Good info, that is exactly what I was wondering about. I will go with the 700-SA. Thanks 0
