bidding error
I have made two purchases on GunBroker and both were through stores that took credit cards. This was my mistake not looking closer but I bid on a gun and am currently the high bidder, but then realized he didn't take credit cards and wants a money order. I don't have the cash and that is why I wanted to put it on CC. He won't answer my emails as I have tried to get this resolved before it becomes a problem if I actually win the auction. Any ideas? I makes me even more worried that he only has 6 transactions and won't respond.

Is there a way to correct an obvious error? a bidder accidentally hit an extra digit- making his bid in thousands instead of hundreds.
How can I help him to correct this?0 -
I believe there is a way he can retract his bid. Someone else may know better than I. 0 -
There is a GB help desk, suggest sending a email to them. Go into seller help under the seller section. 0 -
thanks for the advice, there was nothing in the faq's and this has to have happened many times (1st for me tho)I've contacted customer support to help get this fixed. 0 -
i had that happen once and i just emailed the seller and he cancelled the bid. seems like it was pretty easy to do.. 0 -

You can cancel a bid on GunBroker now?
Is that a new feature of version 4?0 -
The buyer and seller both have to contact GB support and request the bid be retracted, no problem, they will take care of it for you! 0 -
Actually, the buyer is supposed to contact Customer Support & request that his bid be cancelled.
If the buyer is unable to figure out how to contact Customer Support, the seller can contact Customer Support & they will take care of the problem.
Been there, done that.

I went through the bid retraction process once. Unless the policy has changed, only the seller may request a retraction.0
