Is there a way to correct an obvious error? a bidder accidentally hit an extra digit- making his bid in thousands instead of hundreds.
How can I help him to correct this?

I believe there is a way he can retract his bid. Someone else may know better than I.

There is a GB help desk, suggest sending a email to them. Go into seller help under the seller section.

You can cancel a bid on GunBroker now?

Is that a new feature of version 4?

The buyer and seller both have to contact GB support and request the bid be retracted, no problem, they will take care of it for you!

Actually, the buyer is supposed to contact Customer Support & request that his bid be cancelled.

If the buyer is unable to figure out how to contact Customer Support, the seller can contact Customer Support & they will take care of the problem.

    Been there, done that.

I went through the bid retraction process once. Unless the policy has changed, only the seller may request a retraction.
