Taurus 85 trigger pull

I recently picked up a Taurus 85 Ultra Light, nice lil revolver but its has a fairly heavy trigger pull....

can a gunsmith smooth out and lighten the double action trigger pull?

if so what would be a reasonable fee for this service?

and if I wanted to have the hammer bobbed? a reasonable fee?

    I lightened the trigger pull on several Tauri by simply smoothing the contact surfaces with a hard India stone. Take the grips and sideplate off, and remove the trigger plunger spring (careful; it bites!). Smooth the sides of the plunger, and look for kinks in the spring. Look at where the trigger meets the hammer, and see where the contact is made. Polish this area. It might do you good to smooth the inside of the gun where all the swirly marks are to get rid of drag spots and rough areas. Put it back together and see how much smoother it is.
    My 85ul didn't like the hammer bob I did, so I replaced the hammer with one from a junk S&W J frame and took off only the top 1/2 up to the point where the thumb shelf part of the cocking piece was gone.
    Fixed the light hammer strike forever. I also added a small pin inside the spring to guide it straighter into place when compressed, and it's reliable as ever.
    I would think a Gunsmith would charge about $25 to smooth things up, and probably $30 to polish the internals and adjust the spring(s); I wouldn't pay much more than that, but then I don't have to.
