Sub Compact Suggestions

I'm new here with an old question. Looking for a good subcompact to carry in my jeans pocket. I have a Bersa 380 and a Walter PPK. I love both but they are a little too big and make me selfconcious. Any suggestions and Why?

    I suggest an alloy frame snubnose revolver in .38+P.

    They're far more reliable, ammo is cheaper, more readily available, and more powerful than all the .38s. Edit .380s.

    If you *have* to have a pocket automatic smaller than the Bersa/Walther, there aren't that many to pick from.

    The smallest and lightest .380 is the Kel-Tec 3AT, [Edit, and its Ruger clone, which is nearly identical] though the new Micro-Desert Eagle is pretty close.

    If you need a larger caliber, try the Kel-Tec PF9, or (if you have a thick wallet) the Rohrbaugh, each in 9mm luger.

    EDIT: The new Sig copy of the older Colt Mustang .380 might make a good choice for someone who likes a 1911 style single-action automatic with safety.

    If you are used to a semi-auto, I suggest the Kel-Tec P3AT. I carry one 24-7. Also look into a Kahr PM-9 if you want a little larger caliber.

    Do you have a regular size bersa? I have the 380cc that is just slightly thinner and shorter that does the trick. I have a concealed holster if necessary during warm months when I'm not so heavily clothed, otherwise I just put it in my pocket. Shoots great!

    A small 38 revolver or A sub 10 oz 380 and everyone makes them now. keltec, ruger, kahr, taurus, magnum reseach, sig, seacamp just to name a few.

    Kel-Tec 3PAT. Light, reliable, and easy to conceal. Also they are priced right.

    As it has been stated the Keltec (or Ruger LCP, basically same gun) is a great choice for what you are after. It is very small, very light weight, very easily concealable in a front pocket.

    There are other good "compact" guns on the market but are very few that are that small and light, with small being the key.

    Kel-Tec PF-9. I have had one for a year or so and been very happy with it.
