Help identifying old Ithaca Shotgun
I have an old Ithaca Shotgun I am helping a customer identify
It is 12 Gauge, Side by Side, very hard to read but is stamped NEW ITHACA GUN in both sides.
Barrel Length is 28.5" overall length is approx 45".
AA12 is under the barrel on one side,
serial on the other 46xxx
Can anyone supply more info on this gun, rarity? price?
Thanks, Ron
I can email pics.

ithaca's N.I.D. model and the last sxs model made by ithaca gun company ithaca new york was made between early to mid 1920's to 1948'.well made and in good original condition a collectible. there should be more digits in the serial # no . ?.this will tell year of mfg. 0 -
I believe that is the entire serial number, I could not see anything else.

Ithaca did not use an "X" in their serial number... what is the actual number stamped on the gun?0 -
a crass model gun made in 1900' value depends on condition ,it can be used if it checks out as safe to fire with low pressure vintage ammo. some one will come along with more on this gun,the N.I.D model had no hammers .ithaca guns were well made in different grades from field grade on up.just a guess to value would be $400.00 0 -
I forgot to mention... being that it is a hammer gun, it is a Baker Model. The Crass Model guns were hammerless. 0 -
New Ithaca Double = NID models
New Ithaca Gun = Something else pre-NID0
