    Hello and welcome to Gunbroker,

Everything was looking good until the picture of the butt. My recommendation is to remove the butt plate and loading tube, and soak them for 24-hours in a container of Kroil. After they have soaked, use a copper wire brush to remove all of the active rust. Take it slow and easy, and do not use any more pressure than is needed to remove the rust scale.

The Model 63 is in my opinion, the finest semi-auto .22 caliber rifle that Winchester ever made. Based on the current condition, it is at best a $500 rifle. If the butt plate will clean-up without losing a lot of its orignal finish, and with minimal pitting, it might add $100 to the value.

I had an old gun trader friend now deceased that had several of those from the 1950s new,in the box with hang tags and he sold them for about $1200.00 each.

It is too bad that he is still not around... today they would sell for about double what he got for them.

I bought a Win 63 a couple years ago at an auction for $600 IIRC. It has original finish about 95%. Nice shooter.
