Colt Revolver Help

Can anyone give me information regarding this revolver? I know it's a Colt but not sure about anything else? Any idea on the value? The serial # is in the 277,XXX range.

  I'm no antique pistol expert, but I believe it's a Peacemaker. Original Colt Peacemakers are priced in the thousands. Hope someone else will be more exact.

  It would help if you went back to the Image Shack site and changed the size of the photo. All that we can see now is what is called the thumbnail size, which isn't large enough for any type of accurate assessment. It appears to be a Colt "Bisley" Target Model, which potentially could be very valuable.

  It is a standard frame Bisley Model that would have been shipped some time in 1906, probably about mid year. It appears to have a 5 1/2 inch barrel. As rufe-snow indicated, without larger high resolution pictures of the Bisley (different angles, markings, etc.), there is no way to give you a determination of authenticity or value.

  I was able to locate your image, but it is way too big to display here and be useable. You need to resize it to 800x600 or 900x675.
  
  From what I see it has very little or no finish, but looks like it might be original. I don't know what it is chambered for, but from what I see I'd estimate that it would sell for somewhere in the neighborhood of $1500-$1800.
  
  UPDATE 2:
  
  With the additional pictures it still appears to be original, chambered for 32-20, no finish remaining, cracked grip, and there's moderate to severe pitting on several areas of the gun. In that condition I'd estimate you might get $800 to $900 for it.

  There is a "crack" on the grip on the right side (see pic) and someone (not us) had placed some sort of tape around it. There is still adhesive residue because I don't want to do any damage to the finish.
