Chris, I took apart the Colt and the firing pin is broke in half. I found this website that sells parts http://www.e-gunparts.com/ Have you heard of them? I was thinking about replacing the guide rod and spring as well. Thanks, Jeff.

Chris, I tested the guns and the Browning is missing the ejector and the Colt when you shoot it, the firing pin sticks out into the chamber about 1/8 inch and gets in the way of the round ejecting and chambering. It also spins and sometimes hits the rim of the round sideways and misfires. Thanks, Jeff. 0 -
They have been in business a long time, usually give very good service, but sometimes slow to ship...you might want to give Jack First Gun Parts a call in South Dakota, they may have the part also, maybe cheaper and faster shipping. Unless the guide rod looks damaged or worn, I would not replace it, but I would definitely replace the spring. Check out Wolff Gunsprings for your Colt.

Check the edge of the chamber where the firing pin would strike, make sure that it is not peened over from dry firing!0
